The most insightful essay i've read on AIxBio. I want to solve the domestic instrumentation layer--longitudinal population-scale data on all that comes and goes--high-throughput single cell and molecule sensing in cheap compact devices in the home, in air vents, toilets, kitchen sinks, etc.. (This is several years away and very very very very hard.) Your essay made me realize that nutrition, drugs, exercise, reported mood, posture, body composition, and a thousand other personal macroscopic things will enable closed-loop personal biological control systems. Like what athletes and bodybuilders have always done, but with deep and broad molecular information every time one uses the bathroom... every meal and every exercise session and every medication becomes an experiment.

Great discussion Alex. We are actually developing a sensor aimed at addressing the closed loop (alive, fast and broad) offering non-destructive readout of in-vitro systems state (particuladiagnostics.com). By "system state" I mean an integration of multiple molecular inputs; just like the cell state representation created by an LLM from omics data but already compressed in the form of a sensor's signal. Do you think a cell/system state tracking sensor could be impacting AI efficency in predicting biologic trajectories? maybe in combination with some selected omics snapshots?
